By default, Re:amaze shows a condensed version of incoming emails by stripping out unnecessary HTML content and displays the main message for your customer service agents. If agents want to see the full HTML email, they need to click on the “View Original Email” link.
There are two advantages for doing this:
- Important content is display front and center with no noise from things like email signatures, disclaimers, corporate policies, and images (although images are shown in attachments).
- It’s safer for your team because HTML content is not automatically loaded. This drastically decreases the likelihood of phishing and hacking attempts.
However, if your business receives a lot of 3rd party confirmation emails or non-customer generated emails, it might be important to be able to see full HTML content from the get-go.
You can now set your Re:amaze email channel to automatically show full HTML emails instead of the default (and recommended) condensed version. To change this setting, go to “Settings” > “Email Channels” > “Email Display” and check the option for “Display HTML Emails”.
